She helps clients navigate this complicated life by analyzing strengths, weaknesses, and challenges and assisting with goal setting and accomplishments.
Amanda Slyter understands the litigation process, legal expenses, and the work involved with taking a case through trial. She has seen how litigation, including trials, destroys relationships and causes devastating financial and emotional burdens. That's why Slyter Mediation, LLC is passionate about using the mediation process, her creative problem-solving skills, and conflict coaching to guide families through various conflicts outside the court setting. Amanda earned a certificate in Basic Mediation Training and a certificate in Family & Divorce Training. She is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association and uses the ethical guidelines outlined for mediators.
Additionally, she is a mother of three and has lived through her own high-conflict divorce involving severe parental alienation. She is a parental alienation awareness advocate and uses her personal experience and that of others to raise awareness about the effects of parental alienation and the importance of keeping families out of court.
In addition, Amanda is a respected Trial Consultant & Litigation Paralegal/Strategist with over a decade of litigation and courtroom experience. She has worked on numerous complex cases and jury trials in state and federal jurisdictions. In addition to her legal background, Amanda is a Life Coach and business consultant and has been a business owner for the past two decades. She has worked with various clientele, including parents with small children, divorcing couples, college students, young professionals, elders, and other small business owners. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology, an AA in Paralegal Studies with minors in Criminal Justice and Business, an aviation license with endorsements, and dozens of certificates in legal, psychology, education, medical, and business.
