Amanda understands the litigation process, the expenses, and the work involved with taking a case through trial. She has seen how litigation, including trials, destroys relationships and causes devastating financial and emotional burdens. That's why Slyter Mediation, LLC is dedicated to helping people resolve conflict outside the court setting.
Although she provides mediation for all sorts of disputes, Amanda specializes in family mediation, focusing on co-parenting and parenting plans. She assists parents through divorce and custody decisions using a realistic approach by creating child-focused personalized parenting plans to prevent high-conflict, toxic environments and costly, hurtful litigation, which is often unnecessary. She uses the mediation process to guide parties through various conflicts. She earned her certificate in Basic Mediation Training and Family & Divorce Training. She is also a member of the State Bar of Texas (and multiple sections), the American Bar Association (and multiple sections), and local county associations. She uses the ethical guidelines outlined for mediators by the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association.
In addition, Amanda is a co-parenting coach and works with parents, regardless of marital status, empowering them to preserve or restore their parental relationship. She is passionate about helping families navigate this complicated life and accomplish family goals. She is a mother of three children, has first-hand experience with high-conflict divorce, and is a parent alienation awareness advocate. She uses her personal experience and experiences of others to spread the word and raise awareness about the effects of parental alienation.
Amanda Slyter is a respected Trial Paralegal Consultant & Legal Strategist with over a decade of litigation and trial experience. She has worked on numerous complex cases and jury trials in state and federal jurisdictions. In addition to her legal background, Amanda is an entrepreneur and business consultant, a prior restaurateur, a prior owner of several small businesses, and a professional organizer over the past two decades. She has worked with various clientele, including parents with small children divorcing couples, college students, young professionals, elders, and small business owners. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education, an AA in Paralegal Studies, an aviation license, and dozens of certificates in legal, psychology, education, medical, and business.

She is also experienced in complex civil litigation, white-collar criminal defense jury trials, preparation, and paralegal support for law firms.
